Elliot's eyes were slashed out with a silver knife by his maker and thus has mostly vertical scars on his forehead, cheeks, and of course his eyes. He has several smaller scars on his body he endured whilst under control of the one that turned him.Picture URL:

He was a journalist, but is currently unemployed.
Writing: While he might not be able to write on his own anymore, Elliot has a mind for words and can speak effectively as well as put together a peice with the help of someone who can see.
Investigation: Elliot knows how to get information on just about any subject and has some contacts.

Elliot Atwood was a freelance reporter since he came out of high school and a talented one at that. He managed to make a decent living from his writing for a long period of time. He has made many contacts in this field and can look into just about any subject of his interest, at least s deeply as the press is usually allowed to go. He did sometimes find himself in danger when investigating into the criminal world, but he usually got out and it left him cocky. It was this cockiness that lead him to try and look into the inner workings of vampire society and changed his life forever.
He found himself trying to gain information out of an insane vampire, one enamored with his own looks to the point of obsessive narcissism. Elliot had the misfortune of coming across him when he was hungry. He was attacked and Atwood was bitten and turned. The man held him captive and in his first escape attempt hours after being turned he marred his maker's face with a crucifix. In punishment the madman carved out Elliot's eyes for ruining his master's "perfect" vestige. Elliot finally escaped jumping out of the back of a van as his maker was driving through District 3.

- Kind: Elliot has always been a kind soul. He'd often go out of his way to help someone out, even a stranger, before his turning and doesn't seek to change that now.
- Clumsy: Atwood hasn't been blind for long and is thus still adjusting to moving around without sight. He will still bump into objects and people from time to time while he adjusts
- Intelligent: Elliot has always been book smart and has learned a little in a great variety of fields through his time as a journalist.
- Impatient: He doesn't very much like to wait on most occasions and will sometimes barrel into situations unprepared.
- Curious: The newly turned vampire knows very little about the world he has just become a part of and has many questions. He'll likely pester his friends with a lot of questions.
- Ignorant: He doesn't know a whole lot about vampire society and thus might unknowingly break a rule of etiquette or appear foolish to others of his kind.
- Fearful: The trauma of being kept as a tool for a month and being blinded has left him more susceptible to fear. He can easily be intimidated.
