Abilities:
Tasty Blood ~ While not addicting or particularly potent - either in scent or in nutritional value - his blood /is/ exceptionally tasty and rich. To Adara, it is like the richest, sweetest spiced chocolate - to another vampire it might taste different. It's up for interpretation.
*Please Note* Decan does not make a habit of feeding vampires at random as he tends to try to keep his blood for Adara only.
Skills:
- Marksmanship: While not a sharp shooter, Decan does know how to handle a gun and handle it quite expertly at that. He generally favors pistols and other hand guns, but he does have a rifle as well.
[li]Self - Taught: As his father was far too busy with the drug trade, Decan satiated his thirst for knowledge on his own...teaching himself how to both read and write and making a habit to read as many books as possible. This developed in him a curiosity about both past and current events, and as such, he's usually quite in the know about things that have gone on and things that are currently going on.[/li]
[li]Basic Tracking ~ Electronic and Physical : While no paramilitary or military expert, Decan knows how to find people when he needs them to be found - especially Adara.[/li]
[li]Techno-savvy: If it's electric, chances are, Decan can work it and/or fix it. Computers, cell phones and the like are all relatively easy things for him to navigate, and stage lighting? Cake. It's all trial by error to him, and he's not afraid to make mistakes as he knows he'll figure it out in the end.[/li][/ul][/font]

- Too Clever By Far: Decan is the sort of person to listen intently, to take note of things he might find important, and to remember him. Often times, this can get him into trouble as it's usually very much a case of knowing more than he should...and it doesn't help that he's usually very open about knowing the things he knows.
- Overprotective: He is incredibly protective of those he considers /his/ - especially Adara. This protective streak can and often does lead to him putting himself in the line of danger, and he does this unthinkingly and without fear of death or dismemberment.

Brief History:
Decan's upbringing was not necessarily one that could be called stable, but it was home and Decan did not grow up feeling neglected. In fact, life in Australia was pretty decent to him - save for the fact that his father was a ruthless, cold killer. A man who, in the drug trade, was known not for his leniency but rather for his tendency to be quite harsh indeed. A harshness that, for a time, seemed to be passed down to his son - Decan stepping up early on and learning all he could about the dealings of the 'game'. It wasn't until Decan's father died unexpectedly, that things in Decan's life looked to change. After all, he needed to get out of country before things /really/ hit the fan...but how to go about it?
In order to survive, he took on odd jobs here and there to make ends meet while living as off the grid as possible, trying to keep his profile down low. Eventually this put him in full view of Adara, the Asian dhampir that he now quite willingly cares for, one of those 'odd jobs' putting him on her stage crew. She was lively, a sparkling personality that clearly seemed to take no crap and he couldn't help but find those traits admiringly. He worked on the crew for months, and made a point to try and get to know the pretty pop star - the depth of consideration and caring he demonstrated towards her earning him more than just her notice but also her desirability for his company. She offered him a professional upgrade, a chance to be in her company always and Decan saw no reason not to take it - so take it he did, and he's been doing what he does now ever since. Following her wherever she goes, asking no questions, and generally trying to serve her in the best way /he/ thinks possible. They don't always see eye to eye, and he often gets punished for his 'lip'...but he doesn't mind as he understands the cause behind her need to punish and control, knowing she needs an outlet for pent up emotions and more than willing to be that outlet.
