Please be sure to read carefully through all of the rules below.
Posting
- TME is a literate to strict literate RP - so proper use of grammar, punctuation and capitalization isn't just requested - it's required. Please be sure you can uphold this basic standard before applying here.
[li]You must post once every two weeks, PER CHARACTER PLAYED, to be seen as active. You are welcome and encouraged to post more than that, but once per two week period keeps you at the bare minimum. [/li]
[li] We understand people enjoy sometimes want to experiment with perspective, but here on TME we prefer it if you write only third person point of view and thank you in advance for adhering to this policy.[/li]
[li]We reserve the right to turn down applications based soley on your perceived level of literacy, and for your perceived level of RP experience. This is not a beginner site, and while we don't expect people to be perfect, we also do not expect our members to be novices. [/li]
[li]Before you RP, your character application must be approved...any posts that are done prior to this occurring will be deleted without warning.[/li]

[/i][li]Currently there is no limit to how many characters a player may have. We do ask, though, that you wait at least a week in between character submissions to give us time to keep up. We reserve the right to change or alter this at any given time. [/li]Character Creation
- No Mary/Gary Sues here please. No one is perfect, and we don't expect anyone to be perfect here. If you are unsure what a Mary or Gary Sue is, please use this test for guidance.
[li]Please use only the pre-designated racial choices to make your character. Do not ask for a different race or for a combination of two races. They are set up the way they are for a reason. [/li]
[li]Before creating your character, please check our list of bans and encouragements. Any application representing a character type that is banned (whether for race or ability or simply age) will be turned down immediately. [/li]
[li]We encourage creativity in character creation and therefore allow characters to come up with their own power. However, this is meant to encourage your own creativity. If you want a special power that is not listed for general use do not expect or seek others to do the work for you.[/li]
[li]On that note: We reserve the right to deny powers that give a character too great of an advantage and/or are not appropriate for the character's race/age/ranking.

- God-modding and power-playing are strictly prohibited. No one, no matter what rank, can avoid every attack. So please do not do it here.
- Ghosting is only allowable if either a) permission has been granted first and site admin are aware of this permission, or b) the person's character has been designated as inactive and needs to be moved along to keep the RP going.
- We operate on an 'Excuse yourself' policy here in TME. If you are going on any sort of Leave of Absence that will leave other players waiting on you for longer than three days, we would appreciate it if you would be courteous and take your character out of the RP. If you return and the thread is still going on, then by all means feel free to jump back in, but no one wants to be made to wait.
- If you disappear for more than two weeks of time without giving us any prior notice of said disappearance, your character(s) becomes thought of as abandoned, and therefore will go up for Adoption. If you return and your character is still available, then you may, of course reclaim him/her. If the character is adopted by someone else before you return, then you'll just have to create a new one.
- In the event of an unannounced absence as mentioned above, we reserve the right to limit you to how many of your characters you can have back until you have proven that you are capable of maintaining activity.

- This site has a mature PG-13 rating. Sexual content and graphic violence may occur so please be advised.
[li]Foul language is also something we allow here, but we do ask that you use it sparingly and only as your character might be inclined to use it. Fifty f-bombs in one post does not make a person seem edgy or 'mature', it merely makes them sound ignorant.

- All OOC comments should be kept in brackets [] or parenthesies ( ) to clearly define them from the rest of your post.
- Please be polite - if you are having a problem with another player, or are concerned about something, please shoot one of our oh so helpful site owners and we will deal with the problem ourselves.
- Please note: Political views, religion, sexual orientation - none of these has any bearing on RP. Please do not let your real life affect how you play your character. It's role-play for a reason.
- Bullying or harassment of any kind is not allowed, nor is it tolerated here on TME. If you feel like you are being bullied or harassed, please contact us via pm and we will look into it as it's something we take very seriously. This is supposed to be fun, and a safe, judgement free zone for all.
- CBOX - We do have a chat box on the left side of our screen, so please use it responsibly. Be polite and courteous to each other, and remember that the things you say in the cbox could reflect badly on the site. And we do not like it when other's thoughtlessness makes TME look bad. We also now require site members to register their cbox username. Please do so as soon as you fill out an application.
- Under no circumstances is there to be advertising in the cbox. If you have another site to recommend, we have a section designed for that, so please make use of it instead of trying to do it the lazy way.

Miscellaneous
- This site is Rp'd in an Open Thread basis - this means that there are no pre-set threads that everyone can jump in. Create your own thread, include tags in the title to make it specific or mark it as open so people know that just anyone can join.
- The site does have a basic 'plot' that everyone is functioning in, but as a player, you are encouraged to form your own little story-lines as well. This does not, however, mean that you are allowed to force another character into playing along with how you feel that character should do so in your little storyline. A person's character will always be played the way that person sees fit, period.
- Time is fluid on this site, as such your character may be in multiple places at the same time. We only ask that you keep in mind the order in which these posts are to take place so that way consistency can be upheld.
A Final Word
Please note: The word of Site Owners Zeo, Vesperes, and Sarin is law. We love having an interactive member base, and we welcome suggestions - but please don't be put out if we either a) do not choose to use them at the time of suggestion or ever, or b) simply tell you no. We're particular about some things around here, so please just chalk it up to our particular brand of OCD and leave it at that. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
