Greetings and Salutations!
Some of our members may have noticed that we were temporarily unable to chat via our site's public chatbox. We here at TME would like to apologize for that little snafu, but would also like to announce that we have since solved the problem - or at least, we think we have by choosing a new host for our chat service.
So, why the change?
Well, our old chat box was a subscribed chat box - meaning one of our kindly staff members paid for the privileges that it afforded us. Once our subscription expired, however, the chat box itself expired and that left us with the option of paying to renew or signing up for another chatbox with the same service - but using their free option instead. Now, as far as I can tell, paying for it allowed for some privileges, including the auto-refresh that is so very, very convenient. Not paying for it took these privileges away and no longer gave us the auto-refresh that allowed us to keep up to date with what was going on in the cbox. So after much searching, a new host was discovered that pretty much gave us all the privileges we had with the paid subscription - and all for the whopping price of ZERO DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS.
What are these new features?
How does this new chat box effect me as a site member?
Well, it's really just the same old, same old - but better. It doesn't really effect you other than it being more efficient than the former host's chat box was.
So, does this new chat box mean that there are new rules?
We still expect our members to be respectful, and to keep advertising out of it - that hasn't changed. However, we'd also like to request that all site members please take advantage of the new features and register their cbox username...and that you use the same username every time. Yes, our cbox is still guest friendly and we aim to keep it that way...but it really would be appreciated if you could help us keep track of who's actually around by complying with this.
Other than that, everyone's doing a great job. There's no issue with people not staying active, and no complaints at this point in time!

- Users gain the ability to register and password protect their name!
- Users gain the ability to delete their own shouts - a good thing for those of us that sometimes try to keep up with four or five different cboxes at a time and sometimes mess things up!
- Users gain the ability to use avatars, via gravatar.com( if anyone would like to know how this is possible, please shoot Zeo a pm)
- Site Staff can now moderate what's being said in the chat box.
- Site Staff can now ban abusive chatters through their IP address.
- Site Staff can lock the chat box at will.
- It Auto-refreshes!
