AGE GUIDELINES:
While vampires do not grow physically old, they do acquire years of life, so, here are some basics to go by when determining a vampire's true age.
Ancient: Anything over 1000 years
Elder: 600-1000
Adult: 300 - 600
Mature: 100-300
Child: Anything under the age of 100.
Generally, it is implied that by reaching a larger age, a vampire's power strength is increased. Age is not necessarily a determining factor in regards to a vampire's classification. It is more likely that a vampire of advanced years would be a higher class, but it is also not a guarantee.

CLASS
Class is determined by bloodline strength and by a character's personal potential level of growth. Some vampires may remain at Initiate level their entire existence while others will only ever attain the classification of Master or Elite.
*Please note : a character may not grow out of their classification without administration approval and a need for another character to step up into a new class. Being allowed to 'grow' depends largely on your literacy and your activity as a player. *
High - the highest possible class a vampire may attain. All powers are at their peak.
Amount of Specialty Powers: Up to five
Elite - The second highest possible class a vampire may attain. Powers are exceptionally strong, and under certain circumstances they could put up a good fight against a High.
Amount of Specialty Powers: Up to Three
Master - The third highest possible class a vampire may attain. All powers are strong, and under certain circumstances they could put up a good fight against an Elite, and could possibly give a High a bit of trouble.
Amount of Specialty Powers: Up to two
Initiate - This is the class all vampires begin their existence as - with potential for growth from there only shown through time. Though an initiate's powers are strong, they are not as strong as the other classifications - and while an Initiate might be able to put up a bit of a fight with a Master, it is highly unlikely they'd ever be able to stand a chance against an Elite or a High.
Amount of Specialty Powers: 1

GENERAL
GENERAL
1. All vampires fall under the line of being considered immortal, and therefore show no physical signs of aging.
2. Generally, vampires are alluring to their victims. They are attractive to them in a variety of ways, making them dangerous predators.
3. The fact that vampires exist is now common knowledge as vampires are now treated as legal citizens. This means that vampires are responsible for paying taxes, so vampires ARE required to be employed - though generally a clan master will provide means of employment for them. Whether this is the case for your clan or not (ie: Hetepheres owns businesses overseas rather than within the district) , then you are welcome to choose an adequate occupation for your vampire character yourself.
4. All vampires - while not necessarily notably paler in comparison to a human - are cool to the touch prior to feeding. If a vampire chooses to feed from another vampire, it's likely there'll be no warming sensation. If a vampire feeds from a human, they will feel moderately warmer to the touch and be temporarily flushed with a bit more color, though these effects do fade rather quickly.
5. All vampires have a strong bond with their clan master or mistress - this being ensured by a physical sharing of blood. If a clan master/mistress dies, this will result in the death of all of the weaker vampires in the clan (all Initiates, some Masters) and will drive the rest into either a state of insanity or emotional emptiness.
6. All vampires do produce their own blood and have a heartbeat. The flow of blood is considerably more sluggish than that found in a human body, and the heartbeat is so incredibly slow and soft that it hardly registers.
7. A vampire can feed from another vampire - though typically this is not done for the sake of finding food as generally vampires prefer human blood for that. Typically feeding from a vampire is done in order to absorb the vampire's power or as an act of intimacy between two vampires - an act of intimacy that is often regarded as something even more intimate than sex. Feeding from vampires for sustenance is not, however, completely unheard of as many of the stronger, older vampires find that it's a sign of superiority to be able to feed from /all/ those that are weaker.
8. A vampire's bite is not painful. Without any additional powers to make it extremely pleasurable, painful - etc, a vampire's bite produces a comforting, familiar sensation. This sensation makes a human or even another vampire accept the bite with ease. Vampires will, however, feel it on a stronger level - one very close to a rather more intimate pleasure.
9. Staking does not equal instant death for a vampire. When a vampire is staked, the vampire falls into a deep sleep and will remain that way until such time as the stake is removed or rots out of said vampire's chest. If the stake is silver, it still will not instantly kill a vampire - unless that vampire has a weakness to silver.
10. Vampires do not 'die' when the sun comes up, but they generally do choose to sleep during the hours when the sun's light is at it's peak as they /are/ weakened by it.
11. If a vampire's fangs are removed by means of punishment, this does not instantly kill the vampire as they will eventually, over a period of time, grow back. They do not reappear over night - more like over the span of two weeks to a month. During this time, it is difficult for a vampire to feed without assistance.
12. The only way a vampire can be given the True Death by draining is to see the vampire drained completely of /all/ blood. When a vampire is drained fully, that vampire will turn into a dried out husk and will begin to crumble into dust. Unlike death by sunlight, this is a relatively quick process but painful none the less.

TURNED VAMPIRES
TURNED VAMPIRES
1. Turned vampires will always appear as they did when they were made.
ie: Sarin was made at the age of 10, so she will always maintain the physical appearance of being a child.
2. Turned vampires can do little to change their appearance - if they cut their hair, it will grow back. Tattoos after the turn will simply be absorbed into the skin. Once you are turned you stay as you were, so you'd better hope that you were turned at the peak of your health.
3. Turned vampires can NOT produce offspring by means of giving birth, and therefore when they feel the desire to create progeny they must 'turn' a human (or dhampir).
*Any turned vampire desiring to create progeny must be of Master level or above and be sure to attain the permission of both the player of the human/dhamphir and TME administration to do so.*
4. If a turned vampire's maker is killed - one of two things are likely to occur: a) the turned vampire will die along with their maker or b) the turned vampire will be left altered in some serious way (ie: Insanity, Emotionally barren ...etc). This depends on whether the turned vampire is still young/weak or not. The only way the death of one's maker will not affect a turned vampire is if the one responsible for the maker's death is the turned him/herself and the means of that death was a complete consumption of blood (complete = draining them to the point that they are little more than dried out husks crumbling to dust).
5. All turned possess a dual set of fangs (a set on both the top and bottom of the jaw with the ones on the bottom being spaced further apart, slightly smaller and curved, or a second set on top: the incisors next to the canines), rather than the traditional single set of fangs. This is generally seen as a 'defect' by born vampires.
6. Turned vampires tend to dislike born vampires on principle, though whether this is due to jealousy or an odd sense of superiority is unknown.
7. Turned vampires feel no ill will towards dhampirs, and in fact generally welcome them into their ranks as friend and follower.

BORN VAMPIRES
BORN VAMPIRES
1. Born vampires are also often referred to as "Pure" or "Pure Blooded"
2. Only born vampires may produce offspring the traditional way - by giving birth. Born vampires are capable of turning progeny as well, but rarely choose to do so.
3. Born vampires are not stronger than a turned just because their blood is pure.
4. Born vampires generally feel more superior to turned vampires as they can give birth and they generally tend to feel that their bloodline is stronger because of this.
5. Born vampires generally despise dhampirs as they represent something that those of pure vampire blood detest - a mixing of vampire and human blood. They feel that Dhampirs are tainted - and will generally decline to associate with them.
6. Born vampires will age as a normal human child will until they hit the age of physical maturity (anywhere between the ages of 18 and 30), when all outward signs of aging will cease and they will only accrue years rather than wrinkles.
7. Born vampires grow hair as a human does - so they can cut it and shave, and while it will grow back in time, it grows back at the human rate rather than instantaneously.
