Position:
The Dhampire Resistance Movement is an underground collection of those that believe that the Dhampire are oppressed by the inferior races to keep them from their proper position as the dominant race, and intend to take drastic action to see that this is changed.
Depending on your rank, you may be called upon to take on various tasks to further the cause, including, recruiting new members, spying on clans and their leaders (if you are a slave), getting inside information about the course relevant political figures are taking in regards to vampiric rights, acquiring/creating/augmenting funds/resources that are needed by,and setting up vampiries to take the fall for crimes.
Be Aware!
This position is not to be taken without thought of consequence:- The resistance is underground for a reason:
go around blabbing about it and you're likely to be 'eliminated' or imprisoned. In most cases on site we will -NOT- do this sort of thing without your consent, but in this case we must insist that the secrecy of the movement be maintained. - Using this as a ploy to be a bad guy turned good is NOT a good idea
As with the above warning, it's a move that we will take liberties with if our characters are able. Leaving the resistance movement is a dangerous affair, -especially - if there is any evidence you may actively betray them (by revealing their existence, plans, or by attempting to interfere). If you do this it is well advised that you get yourself somewhere safe (best bet is with a clanleader) and you'd best hope they don't take liberty of killing you just to be sure you won't be causing any more trouble.
Background information you will need to know:
- Xavier Corinthos is the leader of the resistance, however this is not widely known.
Unless it has been specifically revealed to you in RP, you don't know he is. If you start RPing like you do, he will likely have you locked up at home base and interrogated to find out how you came by this information. At the most some individuals are aware he is part of the movement, but think he is merely a messenger or recruiter. Most don't have any idea he's one of them.
There is a way he is identified and confirmed to be the leader, a combination of the taste of his blood (which all members at some point will have sampled but never through a bite ) and another means that is not generally know, and is confirmed by one of a very specific few. - Meetings/Rallies are conducted with anonymity being a high priority (ie many identities are protected)
Xavier, and any that are of a higher rank in the movement are known to wear masks and clothing designed to hide any distinguishing features.
Xavier himself sounds different when he addresses his followers due to the extreme difference in his emotional expression, confidence, charisma, and boldness when compared to his behavior outside of the movement. He moves and carries himself differently as well, and is therefore, virtually unrecognizable. - Xavier is immune to mind reading (in nearly all cases), and the number of members that any one member knows by name is strictly limited. (To prevent the capture of any one individual from being able to cause the whole movement to be hunted down)
I don't recommend trying to be a hero, it's not likely to get you very far, and chances are the participants you weren't able to name will be more than happy to make you pay for getting their comrades killed. - Special Lodging
The Ruins of Ilati Utu have recently been claimed by the movement. Members are allowed to take lodging here, especially those who are not slaves to one of he vampire clans. However, do note that if you decide to have your character live here instead of the apartment building, it is assumed you have been closely scrutinized, and evaluated to ensure you are unlikely to betray them.
Some higher up members may choose to forgo their disguises, as those housed within the walls are carefully screened. Some of them may reveal their position to the residents, some may not. Either way this is up to the dhampire in question. You are not to discuss their identities outside the walls of your home. - Xavier is NEVER seen at headquarters undisguised.
He has his own quarters (rarely used as he is a slave of a vampire clan), here and here alone will he allow himself to remove his signature garb, gloves, and mask. When Xaiver is in his room, if you haven't specifically been invited in, and enter without giving him a chance to 'prepare' himself the consequences will be dire.
He has his own way to get in and out of the old clanhouse. As such, he is rarely seen actually coming or going.
